IBM meter reading software delay means Irish Water cannot record water usage

Andrew Keegan, a People Before Profit candidate for Ballymun Ward, claims that Irish Water will not be in a position to issue bills based on water usage by January 2015.

Keegan, a construction manager, is challenging the government claims that there metering is ahead of schedule. There is also no clarity on how houses without meters will be charged.

PBPA has uncovered shocking tactics by Fine Gael in the election campaign in Inisowen, Donegal. A leading FG activist from Carndonagh, who hosts the FG branch meetings in his pub, was photographed taking down the posters of PBPA candidate Joe Murphy. When confronted the FG activist offered to put the posters back up, but then proceeded to erect the posters in far-flung locations. He also put the posters up below the regulation height and on structures that would incur a litter fine for the PBPA candidate, Joe Murphy.
